Mademoiselle Hélène (lead character) has a brief conversation with the baker's wife (unnamed). Odette (extra) and her boss (unnamed) have a brief exchange at the begining of the film.

Besides Mademoiselle Hélène, the only female named character are extras : Madame Tirrant (Hélène just smile at her), Bernadette (a pupil). Even Leon Hamel's wife (the bride) is unamed.
