There are several significant female characters in The Big Sleep; however, as the whole film is seen from the POV of Philip Marlowe, virtually every conversation in the film is between Marlowe and another character. So none of the women really talk to each other.

It is implied that Ms. Rutledge and Agnes speak on the phone twice when Agnes attempts to blackmail for the photos of Carmen. Though this blackmailing is on behalf of Joe Brody.
