Sherry Parker talks to the school vice-principal about her son. Sherry also meets a woman at the airport who drives them to their apartment and tells Sherry who to talk to if they have problems.

Both character's names are stated, but I can recall neither of them.

I haven't seen the movie, but if they're talking about the woman's son, doesn't that mean it doesn't pass the third rule? And if it's a man the woman at the airport tells them to talk to, that's also not passing.

I agree, the conversation with the vice principal does not pass the third rule. I should have pointed that out, so I will next time.

The second one does pass all three as the driver tells Shelly of two people to talk to, a woman and a man.

It's barely a pass, so that's why it's marked as dubious.

Oh, and don't see the film if you can. It's a blatant propaganda piece.

i think "a woman at the airport" doesn´t count.
if dre´s girlfriend counts as "woman"
then there are two women but they don´t really talk to each other at least not about sth other then dre
so it definitely dont pass
in my opinion it doesn´t even pass rule 1 !

If Dre's girlfriend doesn't count as a woman, that Dre shouldn't count as a man, and therefore the conversation between Sherry and the vp should count.

I would think that the conversation with the VP would pass since it's a parent/teacher conversation about a child rather than a man. Yes, his gender is male, but the context is parent to child, not woman to man.

It wouldnt pass any test on cutural appropriation or sensetivity, however, Karate Kid in China indeed...

As long as sexism applies and affects familial relationships and minors (which it does), this movie should not pass on the basis of the conversation about the son.
