Central characters are two sisters working to resolve relationships with each other, their father, and their newly discovered mother. The characters, especially the female ones, discuss family relationships, parenting, how to keep their theatre alive, ambitions, and desires. The topic of one sister's relationships with men comes up occasionally but definitely does not dominate.
