This film deals with the lives of women who live on the periphery and resist social and economic conditions in a society that excludes them. There are two female protagonists and most of the cast is women, who deal with issues related to the condition of women in society.

As far as I can tell there is only one female character in the movie. Luana's comment makes no sense. Just because she's the protagonist doesn't mean it passes the test.
