The main character is a woman and she has several female friends she talks too, however they mainly talk about men. So I don't feel as though this movie passes the test

The main character does talk to other women. While there is not much conversation about things other then men, there is a conversation with the psychic about her job and her psychic gifts. There is also a conversation between one of her friends and a female nurse about drugs. Granted not the most serious or empowering conversations, but they do happen.
