There are a few brief conversations between women.
Mary has a conversation with another woman in a bar, where they briefly share an in-joke and discuss where to buy drugs.
The chief inspector and a police officer have a conversation about Kipper’s escape from hospital, and about how the operation has been bungled, although this conversation could be viewed as being largely ‘about a man’.
Mary meets her birth mother and they have a conversation about successful marriages, before discussing Mary’s birth and her real name.
With the exception of ‘Mary’, I do not believe that any of the other women are named on-screen, but the conversation with her mother in particular is a key moment for the plot.
