While a lot of longer conversations revolve around Leo, there are a few short ones where the women discuss different things. Kate talks to her mother Grace a couple of times in the film. They discuss Grace going off to pursue her acting dreams which leaves Kate without anyone to watch her three daughters. Kate also argues with her oldest daughter Emily about the fact that Emily wants to go to the pool but has to watch her sisters instead. While Sofia and Magda mostly talk about their father or Leo, they also discuss their family's business and how Magda belittles Sofia's work in the charity division. Kate is also seen obsessively checking on her laptop to see if she passed her nursing exam and her friend Theresa tells her to relax and the results will eventually be posted.
