This a strong family movie that explores cultural sterotypes/extremes experienced by Greek-Americans. Given it's a wedding about a movie, the strong opinions about gender roles are prevalent. However, it also shows the strength of the women characters individually. The mother daughter dynamic is interesting. Most of the punch-lines are given to the male characters. Overall, the young daughter asserting her independence is the best part.
