Eiko and Kimie have a brief conversation after Eiko cooks carp for her and Kimie expresses concern about that she should be sharing the carp with the whole family (which includes 3 male characters), Eiko replies that she should eat it anyway since she's also feeding the baby that she's pregnant with.
There's another scene where Kimie shows her newborn baby (which turned out to be a girl, later named Tomoko) to Hiroshima after the bomb blast and tells her to remember it. No man is involved, but the baby, of course, can't speak, so this may not be a full pass.
