There are three significant female characters here.
Julie (the principal female) interacts with each of the other two. Most notably, she has a long and important conversation with the ghost of her friend, Annie, who had been killed some years earlier in a roller-coaster accident. Unsurprisingly, the conversation is very much about Annie's death. (The male policeman who tried to save her is mentioned in passing, but under the circumstances I don't think that invalidates the conversation.)
There is another, shorter exchange elsewhere in the film in which Susan invites Julie to stay for dinner. Julie politely declines, explaining that she needs to get back home to her mother, who will be getting worried about her.
