This movie passes all three parts of the bechdel test. There are three main female characters: Sara (mom), Kate (older sister with cancer) and Anna (Younger sister). Throughout the movie there are plenty of places where they talk to each other. For Example three minutes into the movie Kate and Anna make a joke,
Anna: "Hey baby what's your sign?"
Kate: "Cancer"
Anna: "Your a Cancer?""
Kate: "No I'm a Leo but I have Cancer"
There are plenty more examples of Kate and Anna talking to each other and Sara talking to Kate and Anna. This is a great movie and it will bring tears into your eyes, but I will say I held myself back from crying.
