"A notable failure is MacGruder and Hershey in the trial scene. Two named female characters are engaged in impassioned debate as opposing advocates in a trial..."
Why is this notable? The nature of trials is that you address the presiding judge and this being the trial of a man it'd be strange if you didn't talk about the man.
For a more dubious pass, Central (the computer system), is voiced by a woman and has conversations with both Hershey and MacGruder about things other than men. It's dubious because Central is a machine and thus arguably not female at all. Whether "female" computers count as female characters is for you to decide for yourself.
A notable failure is MacGruder and Hershey in the trial scene. Two named female characters are engaged in impassioned debate as opposing advocates in a trial...and never directly speak to one another. They speak to the Chief Justice(s), Central, and Dredd, but never to one another.
