There is literally a scene where two named women talk to the man sitting between them and not to each other.
Another named character talks to other women but they don’t reply/converse.

I have to disagree with you Sally. Even though I am a TRUE feminist, and the age of twelve. The test doesn't show you that both of the women in this film don't need a man and mutually aren't afraid to kill eachother.

Mabelle, that is NOT what the test measures. In order to pass the test, Two named female characters have a dialogue, about a subject that's not a male. Does that happen? Yes=pass; No=fail.

Whether or not the women need a man or kill each other is a different test. The Mabelle Test, maybe? PS, Happy Belated 12th Birthday :)

It has 2 women who talk to each other, however Valkyrie is not a name it's a title. She was never given a proper name.

Valkyrie and the grand master’s assistant never had any conversation - only with grand master. It's pretty strange.

Valkyrie is a title but it is also used in the comics to identify a specific Valkyrie that is a recurring character.

In this regard it is as proper a name as Iron Man.

THe Valkyria (forgot her name but she has one) and Ella (the bad one) talk to each other during the battle. Well, it's more like exchanging insults but it should count has talking to each other and not about a man. So this film should pass the test imho.

Brunnhilde is Valkyrie's real name. Though it not mentioned in the movie, it is confirmed that her 'real name' is Brunnhilde. Valkyrie is her superhero name just how 'Iron Man' isn't Tony Stark's real name.

The aforementioned scene when Thor meets The Grandmaster technically does not pass the test, however, Topaz and Scrapper 142/Valkyrie (BTW these names are mentioned in the scene, not sure why no one here is using them) are 2 strong female characters that communicate very distinctly with their eyes (very well done) and through the Grandmaster since Topaz doesn't care for 142 and is not afraid to show her disdain in front of her boss. Great little scene: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVs9J_Zl9g4 (from about 1:30 to 3:05) I wish it could count.

Hela and Valkyrie to speak about how Hela wiped out the Valkeries during their battle on the bridge. (in this instance i am counting Valkyrie as a name, bc for most gods, their title is more of a name than their name is)

There is more than one scene with two named women that talk about something other than a man. This was already pointed out topaz and Valkyrie. Also failing this test for Thor 3 seems to be taking the test way too literally and throws the spirit of it out the window.

I agree with the rating. It doesn't mean it isn't a feminist film, with two strong female characters, but it is a shame such a good director didn't at least have Scrapper 142 say something to Topaz directly. This is as close as it gets: 142 says to Grandmaster "I'll take ten million." Topaz effectively replies to her (about her fee, not a man) but she addresses Grandmaster, not 142: "Tell her she's dreaming."

I agree with the rating. Even if Topaz and the Valkyrie would have addressed each other directly (and not through the Grandmaster) they would still be talking about Thor. Who is a man. Therefore, the scene is not valid in two ways.
