Idgie and Ruth talk about what is fair and legal as they steal into the open box car before their food-tossing spree. When Ruth protests that they can't throw away food that isn't theirs to the homeless Idgie responds "That's church talk."
Later, when they have a food fight in the kitchen Ruth calls Idgie's fried green tomatoes terrible. Idgie playfully tosses water on her and says she thought Ruth needed to cool off.
