Reagan and her mother speak to each other throughout the movie about things other than men. Mostly it is her mother talking, but she says a few things in response.

This is the best pass I have found so far.

While many films need to focus on a single interaction in order to weasel in a pass, The Exorcist has so many interactions between the two female leads that there is no need to nit pick.

The film even hangs a lantern on the fact that they don't talk to one another about the Regan's absent father.

This film passes even if you consider the demon to be male (although it should be noted that the demon's voice was provided by actress Mercedes McCambridge).

Chris and Sharon also have multiple conversations and they are mostly centered on Regan rather than any male character.
