Theres a ton of named female characters. They have many conversations which each other, and they talk about a wide variety of subjects which occasionally include men.
Its kinda fun that a weirdo like John Waters might be considered progressive, but in his movies he treats women the same as he treats men. Usually they get abuse but at least they're equal.
