Also, Cher and Dionne are always talking about their grades and stuff like that. And also when they talk to Miss Geist to see if they can boost their grades, etc. There are quite a few scenes that qualify!

Even when Cher, Dionne, and Tai talk about men, it's always about romance, it is not as if they are not in control of these situations either. The women are conscious thinkers and their thoughts are their own, even if its teenage melodrama. I like this movie,especially the first hour
