The women are concerned with surviving and fighting to make their lives better in a world dominated by men, who won't give them a chance without taking advantage of them in some way or the other. The women rely on their wits to outsmart the men at their game. Several of the male characters can't seem to stop bragging about their sexual exploits with women, even if they are shown to be false. Otherwise, they are physically or verbally abusing women. All of this is shot in a way to show how shallow, stupid and lacking in compassion and humanity many men can be. Actually, this movie turns the Bechdel test on its head, for the better.
