...but the woman she stabs doesn't respond. hence, they don't talk to 'each other.'

The woman in red doesn't have a name. She's not a legitimate character. She's the equivalent of a Red Shirt from Star Trek.

Wasn't there a few scenes with the love interest and her friend? Maybe I'm misremembering. Either way, it was a pretty male-dominated film.

Ruff disagreed with the rating and said:
Yeah, some scenes with the love interest's friend, but almost always not talking or talking about guys in a group with guys. The closest they come to a guy-free conversation is the "Hey, gorgeous", "Hey" exchange at the lockers that the main character thinks is addressed to him. So two tests.

If the Bechtel Test is about excellent chickery, then Kick Ass fills the bill. What's not to love?: a young girl simultaneously competent in weaponry and profanity. What a role model!!!!

@Willow: Fighting out her FATHER'S revenge agenda. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the heck out of the movie, but the little girl was very much the pawn of a man (even if she was enjoying it).
