Though most of these exchanges do mention her ex or recent husband, it is generally only as a single talking point in a broader conversation.

Ruth’s right. There’s no conversation between two women that doesn’t eventually culminate in a point expressed toward one of Susan’s past male partners. Also, the whole film is vaguely misogynistic!
