Robin (Judy Davis) and her friend Cheryl (Kate Burton) have a brief conversation at the plastic surgery clinic. At the end of the movie they briefly talk again about Tony (Robin's boyfriend), work and Robin's look.
Robin and Nina (Bebe Neuwirth) talk twice. One is very brief, they just introduced themselves. The other one is about Robin asking Nina to teach her some sexual techniques because she doesn't feel confident when in bed with her boyfriend. Other topics are briefly touched during this long scene, but the main topic is "teach me how to please my boyfriend".
Later Robin, as a TV reporter, interviews Evelyn Isaacs (Allison Janney) about her career, but they talk oly about two of her male clients. After she interviews Dee Bartholomew (Celia Weston), who make some remarks about the weather and the pin Robin is wearing, but the conversation turns quickly to Robin's sentimental and her relationship with Tony Gardella. Then se starts a gossip about an actress/model.
