I won't say the movie is sexist but it's definitely perverse in its approach of women and sexuality, and kind of promoting rape culture. I actually felt insulted as a woman. But yes, it passes the test.

Contrary to Mathilde, i think this movie doesn't support rape. If anything, this movie isn't even about the rape itself. It's about power and control.
Michele is a powerful woman, she has control of every aspects in her life. But when the rape happened, someone took her control from her. This film is about Michele's journey to take back control from the event that might be her undoing.

This movie is really good. If you rewatch it is not clear at all that the initial rape is unforseen or that Michèle did not know who is the perpetrator from the really beginning.
And she is not the only one, the neighbors wife know everything, silently approve and give hint about it really early.
It is a movie about power, control. The only unforseen consequence and lost of control is when her son or her employes get into play.
