Hi, I disagree with the rating! In the beginning of the movie, Jane is teaching some children. One of them (Mary) correctly answers her question with "Hippopotamus" and Jane replies "Well done, Mary!" and they applaud her. Jane also has a named female friend in the village in Africa - Eshe. She asks Jane if she has children. Tarzan's ape mother (Kala) is also named but doesn't communicate in a human language. Eshe's daughter (or possibly son, not clear) Keikoo is named.
