This movie passes the test many times over. The central character, Bayonetta, shares several scenes with two other primary female characters, Jeanne and Cereza. Bayonetta and Jeanne have at least seven conversations (possibly more when one considers that a few are broken up by fight scenes), five of which are not about any men; of the remaining two, one mentions another male character (the villain, Balder), and the other is explicitly about that male character. Bayonetta and Cereza have nine conversations, seven of which are not about men; one mentions another male character (Balder), and the other is about another male character (Luka, a reporter). There is also a very brief scene in which Jeanne and her clan's Elder have a conversation about Bayonetta.
