Calpernia speaks with her friend Ginger about what it means to be a transgender. Although this movie has the same 'difficulties' as The Danish girl, since it deals with transgenders, but I for one consider it legit.

While Calpernia and Ginger talk at length multiple times, all of their conversations are directly about Barry or Lester (Ginger’s boyfriend), not what it means to be trans—though Ginger does make a tangential comment about sexual orientation. I still think the movie narrowly passes because Calpernia and Ashley share a few inconsequential lines of dialogue in the first scene at Visions (e.g. “Hi!”; “Did you enjoy the show?”) There are also some background conversations in the dressing room between the performers, but they’re only named in the credits so I don’t count that.
