This is a really fun film about ballet, a budding ballerina and the enduring friendship between two women, played by Anne Bancroft and Shirley MacLaine. If you like ballet or classical music you will love this film. Even if you don't, being able to see these two fine actresses engage in verbal battle, underlined by love, is worth the viewing. Until I saw this movie as a child, I had no idea women could care about each other as much as these two do.
