After they reach the bus terminal, Carla Jean and her mother discuss where the mother's packed medicine might be located. This is not so much a conversation as a pretext for Carla Jean to leave her mother alone for a few minutes.

Concurred dubious. The mother isn't even named, afaik.

Jen disagreed with the rating and said:
Is the mother named in the movie, or just the book? (It's been a few years since I read the book) She's only listed on IMDB as Carla Jean's mother, and I feel like the only name ever given to her is "Mama."

Though she is never referred to as anything but "Mother" or "Carla Jean's Mother" in the script and credits, Agnes Kracik is the character's name. We learn this from the funeral scene where we see her name on the headstone. Its a "Blink and you miss it" moment, but you can see the screencap here: www.caps.pictures/200/7-no-country/full/no-country-for-old-men-movie-screencaps.com-12664.jpg
