The reason [named] is in square brackets in part 1 of the rules is that it's a condition necessary only to pass the first part of the test. The rule that both women have to be named does not apply to parts 2 and 3 of the test, and is an addition to the original wording of the comic meant to prevent films from passing it simply by virtue of having random women passing by in the background.

If I am wrong, then why do the rules have [named] in square brackets?
