Real life Alice Liddell, of Alice in Wonderland, travels to New York as an old woman, accompanied by Laura, her young woman companion who has adventures in New York. Alice has elaborate dreams of Dodgson and Wonderland, rendered in subtle, ambiguous scenes, including conversations with the Red Queen and the White Queen. This is the best Alice film.
