This film only has two named female characters in it. They are Raksha - a wolf that adopts Mowgli - and Kaa - a snake. They only ever talk to male characters, and discuss Mowgli, his father, Shere Khan and Akela (all male characters).

Kaa is actually a male, although voiced in this movie by female actress.

TO the above comment: Kaa is changed from a male to a female character in this film.

Shouldn’t the rating be changed from 1/3 to 2/3 since Kaa and Raksha speak to each other about Mowgli, his father, Shere Khan and Akela?

Gray (a wolf cub) is also a female and she talks to her mother Raksha about the red flower

As Ivy Edna said, Kaa and Raksha only talk TO male characters. In fact Kaa only appears in a single scene and she's alone with Mowgli. Also I'm pretty sure Gray is a male. So this should be 1/3.

It is difficult to know whether Gray is male or female. The wikipedia page says Gray is Mowgli's brother but the character is voiced by an actress.

Many animated male characters use female voice actors, so that shouldn't be used to determine a character's identity.
