Actually it does pass. Because of the little panda girl that constantly interacts with Tigress and Tigress at first telling her no. It's a small verbal interaction, but it's still two female characters that have a slight back and forth.

If 10 Cloverfield Lane can pass despite the main character never actually speaking to the Leslie character, then this should pass as well.
