Evelyn, played by Myrna Loy, gets a lot of help from her best friend, Amy, when she is accused of murder. Also accused of murder: Rosalind Russell, in her screen debut, and Una Hagen. Juicy parts also for an elderly woman witness, and Evelyn's four-year-old daughter, who is annoyingly cute. Some good critiques of women trapped in violent relationships with truly bad guys. William Powell plays the big shot attorney husband in this predecessor to 'The Thin Many' series.
