Simply because, if the women do talk about anything that isn't related to men (and I can't think of a single scene where they do), they're naked or in their underwear. Plus most of the jobs depicted for women (except one or two cops) are in the service of men: stripper, waitress, prostitute, etc. The only ones who had good jobs (the parole officer and her lover, a shrink) had to be both naked and gay, to eliminate the male threat.

One of the most misogynistic movies I've ever seen. Repulsive.

@Synaesthetik

None of that is relevant to the test.

I'm trying hard to remember the non-male-based conversation. Even when all the prostitutes are talking, I think they were talking about about Clive Owen or Mickey Rourke's character. Happy to be proven wrong.

Gail and Becky have a conversation about Becky's betrayal - so it passes the test

Yes the film is obviously highly mysoginistic, but the fact still stands that the "Big Fat Kill" segment of the film had two scenes where two of the prostitutes had a conversation that wasn't at all centred around the male character.
Therefore, it does pass the test.
