There are three strong female characters - mother and daughter (played by real-life mother and daughter Iva Janžurová and Theodora Remundová) and their nosy neighbour Mrs. Laskonová (played by Eva Holubová), plus two secondary female characters. They talk mostly about politics, since the story is about local election in small Czech city, and about family relationships.
