Bechdel Test Movie List

The two primary characters are transgender women working as sex workers in LA. Most of their conversations are about everyday life or Alexandra's performance that night or tracking down a cisgender woman who is sleeping with Sindee's boyfriend.

Sin-Dee and Alexandra primarily speak about 2 things, Alexandra's performance and Sin-Dee's cheating boyfriend/pimp Chester. They also speak briefly about Alexandra's changes from taking her hormones. Yes SinDee she talks about wanting to find Dinah, who, Alexandra has told SinDee, slept with Chester while she was in jail. The way I see it any conversation about finding Dinah is actually about Chester as SinDee wouldn't have any reason to go after her if it weren't to do with Chester. Alexandra's performance is spoken of in passing, but I don't believe it's enough to call it a "conversation".
A strangely large amount of this film is spent looking at a man's life (the Armenian taxi driver) and finding out about his life, strange for a film supposedly centred around two women. Two women who, disappointingly, we find out very little about.

I adamantly argue that this film does not pass the Bechdel test, even though I mostly enjoyed it and found it an interesting, if brief and superficial, look into the life of a transgender street sex worker.

Sindee and Alexandra also talk about their hair and how it looks and getting Sindee cleaned up after Sindee is assaulted by hoodlums. Sindee talks to Dinah about make up.

It's a clear pass.
