Saw this at a pre-screening on 2015-07-22.

The only female character that has any significant lines and action (Violet) interacts only with the other main (male) characters and her son. She is primarily treated as a prize to be won by the main male character. Secondary female characters are there for comedic purposes with very few words to say: "First Lady Jane Cooper" is the president's wife, "Mickey Lamonsoff" is the overprotective doting mother, and "Lady Lisa" is a sexualized video game character come to life that one of the male characters has fantasized about and "wins" at the end of the movie. This last character does not speak at all.

I agree with the rating but would give this movie an even lower rating if possible. Adam Sandler's Character is scruffy, doesn't brush his teeth and is rude. He feels entitled to have the beautiful woman and if she doesn't agree, then he call her " snobby". She ends up being a high ranking military official and he repeatedly disrespects her at her workplace. Then , as Sandler writes the plot, she still falls for him. At the ball, he is scruffy and unshaven and she looks like a disney princess.SHE confesses her self-esteem problems to HIM and then he reassures her. This movie , like many of Sandler's, is basically written to massage Sandler's ego. Even the crowd scenes are about 80% male. Adam Sandler's vision of the world is very warped.
