In one scene Frank's mother and his grandmother talk to each other, but in French, offscreen and in the background (he and his father talk to each other in the foreground).

Neil's comment is absolutely correct, so the rating doesn't make any sense to me. Two named women talk to each other. The details in Neil's comment are important for context, but don't negate the fact that Paula and Eve talk to each other.
That exchange alone should give this movie at least a 2/3 (Dubious), even without the one noted by Ebony.
