Several intimate mother/daughter conversations about the nature of happiness, knowledge, personal issues. Conversation between two women (one of whom is main character) hiking the PCT about the power of the wilderness. Conversation with female main character and elderly woman she meets on the trail. Doesn't count for this test, but I was impressed by the respectful nature of interactions with most of the male characters. Most men were kind, helpful and not condescending.
