Luciana and Marisa, a teenager and an adult woman, are central characters in this film. Luciana is the lead and is dreaming not to get married and dedicate her life to politics. Marisa is her model because, although married, she doesn't have children and her main activity is politics. It's a coming of age film revolving around the figure of Luciana and her obsession with Soviet space expeditions.
