The protagonist (Stella) and antagonist (Lilith) are both named women. I'm not sure if they speak to each other yet... I'm currently watching it on SyFy. Stella talks to at least one of the named women, though, about something besides a man.
Sidenote: This movie has a 4.4 on the IMDb, but it's as good as 30 Days of Night, imo, which has a 6.6
