Over half of the film consists of scenes between the three female characters Jenny (Anna Kendrick), Kelly (Melanie Lynskey) and Carson (Lena Dunham) and in those scenes they talk about careers, family, feminism, sex and also write an erotic novel. They do talk about men sometimes but rarely.

Things you should know when deciding whether or not to watch this movie:
-It is the antithesis/diametric opposite of "the Summer Block Buster movie”.
-It passes with flying colors The Bechdel Test . It gets an A.
-Not critical, but interesting, Melanie Lynskey employs her natural Australian accent, not her affected American one used in Two and a Half Men.
-You need to sit through all of the credits to catch everything.

Melanie Lynskey is from New Zealand. This was a great movie but has the most random abrupt ending.

Not only passes the Bechdel Test but arguably also fails the Reverse Bechdel Test.
Joe Swanberg's character has a brief conversation with a fellow male producer at the start of the film but the conversation centers around Anna Kendrick's character. Joe Swanberg also talks to his 2 year old son in some scenes but it's hard to call that a conversation. Apart from that, no male characters ever converse with each other during the movie.
