The movie has several female characters, two of whom are the mothers of the more primary characters. Emilia is shown talking to her mother twice, once at the psychiatrist's office, and again at her mother's home. Each time, the topic of the conversation is Emilia's mental health problems, including suicide attempts, which were caused in part by her fractured relationship with her father. Though a few exchanges between the two are more general, I don't think this counts, as the father's absence/abuse seems the impetus for Emilia's distress (and thus the reason for these two scenes between her and her mother).

I think the conversation in the psychiatrists office counts as passing the test. The conversation is about the relationship between mother and daughter, and though past events that involve a man are part of that conversation the man is not the topic.

I agree with pikeamus - Emilia discusses mental health with her mother, the man is not the topic.
