Bechdel Test Movie List

When Captain Niobe volunteers to captain a ship for the council, she addresses the council and is thanked by Councillor Dillard.

The partial conversation between Trinity and Persephone fails at the test. Actually, Persephone adresses Neo for the negotiation, but Trinity interrupts when she demands a kiss from Neo.


Persephone: ...just a sample.
Trinity: [draws her gun] Why don't you sample this instead?
Persephone: such emotion over something so small just a kiss.

After having a kiss from Neo, she turns to Trinity and says:

Persephone: I envy you. But such a thing is not meant to last.

It TOTALLY passes. Zee and Charra talk about their mission to destroy the machines. The Oracle also talks to Sati; I realize that The Oracle has no "real" name. However, I take it that that's the name she goes by.

Councillor Dillard formally thanking Niobe from across the room after the latter addresses a room full of people - by any reasonable stretch of the imagination - constitute a conversation between two people.

Furthermore, both interactions addressed by Nellie occurred in The Matrix Revolutions, which I would argue does pass the test for the reasons already cited. The Persephone-Trinity conversation (if we could even call it that) is clearly too intertwined with Neo subject-wise.

The Matrix Reloaded therefore fails the test.

Clearly only passes 2/3 for the reasons mentioned by Zak above.
