Two conversations in particular are most relevant. Bella asks Nancy (her servant) for a broach, and is surprised to be told it isn't there. She also asks about something else (a wrap, I think).
Also she talks to Elizabeth (an older servant), when she can hear noises upstairs. Elizabeth reassures her that no-one is there, and Bella is imagining things, this leads to a conversation about whether Bella is losing her mind, with Elizabeth being sympathetic, and offering to help if she can. The master (Bella's husband) is briefly aluded to.
