There are three named female characters but the mostly serve to advance the main storyline concerning a group of three male vampires living in Wellington, New Zealand. None of the female characters talk to each other.

THe movie doesn't pass the test, but I think it's part of his point.
Think about when one of the vampire's servant (a woman) jokes about vampires only being men.

While I agree this movie isn't the best showcase of the complexities of women, I believe Jackie speaks with her female childhood friend/bully when she brings her to "dinner" (ie as a meal for the vampires). They also speak over the phone, but you only see Jackie's perspective. Dubious but it may fit.

I had to rewatch the dinner scene and Jackie does not talk to Josephine (the childhood bully) during that scene at all.

Jackie talks with her childhood friend on the phone, inviting her to the dinner. Not one mention of a man, only the implication that the audience knows men will be there at the dinner.

Jackie does indeed speak on the phone with Josephine to invite her to dinner as one of the people she "do[es]n't like," though you only hear Jackie's side of the conversation, so I agree it's dubious... Jackie berates her for getting the other kids in school to call her the "Jexorcist," nothing about men or a man.
