The film follows Angela and her daughter Sunny. They have many conversations together about a variety of topics (shoes, Sunny's birthday party, Louise, etc.). Angela also talks to Louise about Sunny's learning problem and Sunny coming to live with Louise. Louise helps Sunny reads. Angela talks to her neighbor Cheryl about her life and her daughter.
