At the very beginning of the film, we see a woman reporter interview a woman doctor about her cancer research. Both are introduced by name, though on IMDB, the news reporter is only referred to as "TV Personality." The whole scene is less than a minute long.

There are several other named women and girls in the movie. Mother Zoe and daughter Marley *might* exchange a few words during their flight from NYC, but I can't remember for certain.

But this apparent representation of a female television presenter, is on screen for less than a minute, AND has no name.

Also, she interviews the Doctor. There is no back-and-forth conversation, so we never get an accurate portrail of a female tv presenter. She is a talking head, not a character.

If the test is designed to elicit representations of women, then this film fails.

Besides, it should fail on the basis that this tenuous tiny miniscule little scene is the only thing it's got!

The movie definitely passes, ot. TV Presenter is named Karen (as announced by male reporter before the interview starts) and the scene lasts over a minute, not less. I don't understand why interview shouldn't count as conversation, when it is one it's forms.
