The rating may not apply, the movie had only two characters Vanda and Thomas.
Not only two named characters, just two characters.
They spend most of the movie talking to each other, without any of them having an upper importance.
They talk about love, romance, domination and submission and couple dynamic but not specifically of "a" man.
1. A woman is the main protagonist of the movie.
2. She couldn't interact with another woman because it's a head to head discussion between a man and a woman. It didn't make sense in the story.
3. She isn't objectify or didn't exist only for a man character.
There are only two characters in the film, a man and a woman, both equally important.
