This film has a number of named women - Tina and Beverly, to name two - and there are many scenes that pass all three parts of the test.

Despite various adversities and attempts by their extended families to keep them apart, the friendship between these two female characters endures.
While Bev's focus is on becoming a writer, Fay seems more focussed on her boyfriend. Both unlucky in love, the women stick up for one another, support each other through motherhood and encourage each other to pursue their dreams.
